Blue Avenue is made up of four teenagers from Tacoma, WA: Anna, Jace, Princess and Sam. This quartet of talented youth musicians is making a name for itself with impressive songwriting and performances.
The band took shape when its members individually attended or participated in organized and impromptu music events at Louie G’s Pizza (Fife, WA), which were hosted by Scott O’Brien and the Scott O’Brien School of Music. As fate would have it, four talented teens of similar age and complementary instrumental abilities came together at the right time and place.
January 2017, Blue Avenue was born. With the amount of creativity they shared, it was clear that Blue Avenue wanted to be an “originals” band. As with all bands, they started with some of their favorite covers and worked their original songs into the set lists. Blue Avenue recorded its debut E.P. in September, 2017, after only nine months together. It was released at a November 18th launch event, held at Louie G’s, of course.
The members soon learned what industry veterans know all too well—that change is constant. For Blue Avenue, that meant the departure of one guitar player in April, 2018. That didn’t slow them down, however. Jace, Princess, and Sam returned to the studio in May and recorded their single, “Start Again.” Anna joined them in June and quickly became a solid contributor.
The maturity, chemistry, and creativity of their songs are far beyond their years. This is what sets Blue Avenue apart from other bands.
